The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former UConn linebacker Danny Lansanah off the New York Jets' practice squad.

Lansanah last appeared in a regular-season NFL game back in 2008 when he played in five games with the Green Bay Packers and he recorded tackles in games against Chicago and Houston. He did get into camp with the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions in 2009.

Lansanah had an outstanding preseason for the Jets as he had 14 tackles, an interception and forced fumble in four preseason games.

Lansanah played at UConn from 2004-07 and was the team's leading tackler as a sophomore, junior and senior recording 299 tackles, 10 interceptions and seven sacks over his final three seasons.
