UConn's Foxx honored by CFPA
The College Football Performance Awards recognized UConn senior Deshon Foxx as one of five Punt Returner Performers of the Week.
Foxx returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown for what proved to be the winning touchdown in a 19-16 victory over Stony Brook. He finished with 85 yards on three punt returns.
Auburn's Quan Bray, Bowling Green's Ryan Burbrink, Utah State's JoJo Natson and Jarvis West of Iowa State, who each returned a punt for a touchdown, were honored by the CFPA.
Foxx was also named the Special Teams Player of the Year by the American Athletic Conference while Geremy Davis was named to the honor roll by the AAC after catching six passes for 113 yards.
