UConn's practice tomorrow afternoon is the first of three which will be open to the public.

Parking will be available in Lot D which is adjacent to the practice field. With the weather expected to be sunny and beautiful tomorrow, there shouldn't be any need to shift the practice inside. Practice is slated to run from 3-5:30 p.m.

This should be the first practice with pads that the media is allowed to see so it should be interesting to see what the pecking order is as UConn has a few practices under its belt.

The biggest surprise to me during Friday's opening practice was how much time tackle Paul Nwokeji and guard Tyler Samra saw with the first time offensive line and also how frequently centers Tyler Bullock and Alex Mateas lined up side by side with Bullock playing center and Mateas at guard so I will be curious if that was merely a mix and match deal as the coaching staff was seeing how different combinations were looking or if a real shakeup on the offensive line is a possibility.

On the defensive side of the ball linebackers Omaine Stephens was seeing quite a bit of time with the starters on Friday so I want to keep an eye on that as well.

Practices on Aug. 13 (3-5:30 p.m.) and Aug. 17 (8:45-11:15 a.m.).
