Do you know if Edsall has ever brought up the issue about the UConn football program not being on tv in the local market every week? I would guess they are somehwhat aware of the issue with ESPNU not being available to most the people in the state. Just wondering if anything is being worked on in future to address this.
It hasn't been brought up this season, but UConn AD Jeff Hathaway ripped ESPN last season for consistently putting the Huskies on ESPNU when they were in the top 25 and competing for the Big East title. You can read his comments if you go to the archives from November 2007 (sorry, no time to link). I don't think there's much UConn can do but complain. ESPN can pretty much do what they want.
That is what I figured. I know some of the games are on mytv9. Maybe if the cable companies in CT would catch up with the times and provide ESPNU in CT I can not even get it if I wanted to. Would be nice if ESPN would do regional coverage but like you said they do what they want
Edsall is starting to remind me of Belichick with all of his shenanigans during the week.
