Game Day

Does anyone read the pre-game blog? Ah, I'll write anyway.

Cody Endres should get the start, if only because he is taking snaps from Keith Gray in the warm-up and Zach Frazer is taking them from backup Gary Bardzak. Look for a few wrinkles on defense today, too.

The pregame music running through Rentschler is unbearable. Too loud. And awful. Yes, I know that means I'm too old.

Half the state of West Virginia is in the press box today. Seventeen writers just from newspapers and websites. Add in the TV guys, production people and athletic department reps, and it's crowded.

Not a lot of NFL scouts, just the Dolphins and Colts.

Darius Butler is warming up as a cornerback.

I always pop in beforehand as well to read about any last minute updates. I thought about this the other day - Edsall is very defensive about people second guessing the coaching staff and being a Sunday morning quarterback. If I were him I'd take it as a compliment because that just means people are actually paying attention to the program and are becoming very passionate about this team. You do not get that if the team is in the basement of the Big East. The program is taking off and becoming a player in both Connecticut and on the national stage.

I hope that Frazer wasn't medically cleared to play, b/c if Edsall chose willingly Endres he made and awful decision, and I would have said that before this sh*t show of a QB performance

Dont forget Frazer has had two concessions already this year. Have to take these things slow sometimes you dont want to ruin the kids career by getting him back in there to quickly. Also how many drops did the Wide Receivers have? and one was a wide open TD catch droped. Overall I thought we this game could have gone either way the defense played great in the begining and the offense had chances in the first half to blow the game open but had way to many dropped balls and turnovers. That was the difference in this game
