Pair of UConn commits honored
UConn football commits Alec Bloom and Luke Carrezola were named to the Pennsylvania Football News All-State teams.
Bloom was the first-team tight end in Class AA after catching 45 passes for 830 yards and 12 touchdowns in eight games as a senior at Ligioner Valley.
Luke Carrezola was the first-team tight end in Class AAAA as he helped junior running back D'andre Pollard rush for 2,928 yards and Neshaminy HS run for 4,218 yards in 15 games. Carrezola also had four catches for 45 yards and as a defensive end had 20 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
Carrezola, who is also in the running for the Mr. Pennsylvania Football large division award, is planning to take an official visit to UConn from Jan. 17-19.
