Former Penn State assistant hired by UConn
Former Penn State assistant coach Kermit Buggs has been hired as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator for UConn.
Buggs, who spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Lock Haven, coached the safeties at Penn State from 2007-10 before coaching all defensive backs in 2011.
He replaces Clayton White who left to head back to North Carolina State, his alma mater.
