Big East announces adjusted football schedule

With the decisions of Boise State and San Diego State to remain in the Mountain West Conference, the Big East needed to make adjustments to the schedule grid it recently released.

Memphis was added to UConn's home schedule to replace San Diego State. The Huskies will also host Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida (assuming Louisville and Rutgers are still in the league in 2013). The Huskies will play Big East road games against Central Florida, Cincinnati, Southern Methodist and Temple. The only road non-conference game is against Buffalo on Sep. 28 while UConn will host non-conference games against Towson State (Aug. 29), Maryland (Sep. 14), Michigan (Sept. 21).

The dates of the Big East games will be announced in the coming months.
