I'm a little disappointed that I missed the picks last week, but I checked mid-afternoon on Thanksgiving and didn't see them yet, so I figured they weren't going up. Oh well, I probably would have gone 2-14 or something.

Sorry, Gary. I got stuck covering a high school football game on Thanksgiving morning (and it was Branford at East Haven...there was a guy there spewing venom at the referee crew and I immediately thought that it must be Vinny from East Haven). I then had to get to the family gathering that afternoon, so I didn't get to the picks until that evening.
Always check back. Over the last five years, the picks have never missed a week through holidays, knee surgery and child birth. (Lets see the U.S. Postal Service top that). With so much at stake, we can't afford to miss a week!
Chip, don't worry, I put the blame squarely on my own shoulders.
I also covered a HS football game that morning (for radio, in RI)
So I know how hectic Thanksgiving can be.
Are you heading to Tampa to cover this game Saturday? I really hope they are sending you, biggest game in UConn football history, the Register owes it to its readers to send someone to that game.
