Prepping for Syracuse
A quick update from Thursday's call:
Steve Brouse will be a game-time decision. Randy Edsall would neither confirm nor deny whether Brouse has practiced this week.
Ryan Henegan and Matt Ashmead are day-to-day. Greg Lloyd takes Henegan's spot as the back up to Lawrence Wilson at WLB, but that's only on the media depth chart. Edsall notes there's a media depth chart and an actual depth chart. The actual depth chart is kept sealed in an air-tight mayonnaise jar and buried in Edsall's backyard below a removable dummy panel beneath the tool shed.
I'm kidding. Please don't go digging in Randy's backyard.
Alex LaMagdelaine is out indefinitely, but there is still a chance he could play again at some point this season -- read: bowl game.
Check back later today. I have the weekly picks and another item of interest.

I wouldn't be surprised...Edsall is about as paranoid as Woody Hayes in his final days....but at least Woody had something to be paranoid about.
Edsall is about as predictable as a John Grisham novel. Everyone knows how it will end, but along the way there are some terrible sidetracks.
An entire article needs to be dedicated to Edsall's questionable coaching calls all year. Perhaps you can also work in his proclivity last year for suspending players AFTER they broke team rules or were arrested. Winning is one thing, winning with a bunch of car-jacking thugs is another. Just ask Tom Osborne, the Nebraska coach who sold his soul to the devil for players like Lawrence Phillips and Christian Peters. Oh wait...at least he won a coupld of national championships. Uconn hasn't come close and their one bowl win is under investigation by the FBI for Toledo point shaving.
It's tough to like this team sometimes.
