Army coach talks up improved UConn team

It's pretty much part of the process for opposing coaches to throw praise the way of the upcoming teams and Army coach Jeff Monken was happy to oblige when he was asked about his impressions of UConn on a conference call with the Connecticut media.

"They are an improved team, they are a much better football team and that is to be expected," Monken said. "Coach Diaco is in his second year and just like our guys are improving. They are a big football team, big up front on defense, athletic, I am impressed with their special teams  and their guys play hard. It was impressive to see that win they had last week. They were behind in the ball game and found a way to come back and win and that is easy to do, it doesn't matter who you are playing, they did a really good job. I am impressed with their quarterback, he is a good player and they've got a bunch of guys. The big tight end (Tommy Myers), holy mackerel, he is a load. We will have our hands full. I know we are not going to win the height and weight competition, they are going to be a lot bigger than us and that creates a lot of challenges. We are going to have to play
really well and execute if we are going to have a chance."
