UConn in NFL: Week 9 report

It doesn't seem like that long ago that there were reports coming out of Oakland that former UConn star Sio Moore was in a fight for a starting job. That seems like ancient history these days as Moore once again headlines this week's alumni report.

The second-year linebacker had 11 tackles including his second sack of the season as the Raiders threw a scare into the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks before losing 30-24 to remain the only winless team in the NFL.

Since returning to the lineup after missing two games with an ankle injury Moore has games of nine, 10 and 11 tackles in four games.

Not too much else to report although Donald Brown was back on the field (in a limited role) and finished with 29 yards from scrimmage after missing three games with a concussion.

Will Beatty, OT New York Giants: Started in 40-24 loss to Indianapolis
Donald Brown, RB San Diego: Had 6-yard catch and four carries for 23 yards in 37-0 loss to Miami
