Another big game for UConn commit Alec Bloom

UConn commit Alec Bloom caught nine passes (eight in the first half) for 138 yards and a touchdown to lead his Ligonier Valley team to a 42-7 win over United last night.

The 6-foot-7 Bloom has 13 catches for 206 yards in the first two games of the season.

Justin Noye finished with 54 yards on 14 carries and was 6 of 11 as Rochester (N.Y.) East opened the season with a 9-6 loss to Hilton.

Also, UConn coach Paul Pasqualoni will join Joe D'Ambrosio, the play by play announcer for the UConn Radio Network, for the weekly UConn Football Coach's Show, It debuts Monday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Wood-n-Tap in Vernon. The show can be heard on WTIC-1080, WILI-1400 and WAVZ-1300.
