Tim Boyle will choose between UConn, Pitt and BC

With former Masuk star Casey Cochran ready to play after redshirting during the 2012 season and 6-foot-6 Texan Richard Lagow a headliner in UConn's recruiting class, it would seem as if recruiting another quarterback is not a major priority for the Huskies at the current time. However, if a talent like Tim Boyle is available the Connecticut coaches would be crazy not to go after him.

The 6-foot-4 Boyle, who quarterbacked the Falcons to their third straight Class LL title in 2012, committed to Boston College in June. However, with new BC coach Steve Addazio preferring to run an offense run by a quarterback who is a dual threat, Boyle is exploring his options.

Boyle told the Middletown Press (a sister paper of the Register) that he is considering UConn, Pittsburgh and Boston College.

"I just want to make the best decision I can make for the next five years of my life both for academics and football-wise," Boyle told the Press.

Boyle threw for nearly 2,500 yards as a senior and tossed 24 touchdown passes. With Xavier running for 408 yards in the Class LL title game Boyle only had to throw the ball five times but one of them went fora 94-yard touchdown in a 48-14 win over Norwich Free Academy. Boyle ran for one touchdown and passes for another in the game.
